AG Garland’s calling David Weiss a special counsel doesn’t solve the lack of independence or seriousness in the Hunter Biden investigation, nor does it excuse the irregularities of the now blown sweetheart plea deal. If anything, it highlights the cavalier approach to unevenly applied rule of law and political weaponization of DOJ which have characterized Garland’s tenure and The Biden Administration generally. We are in the midst of constitutional crises as routine.

This administration depends on the people who don’t like it much, who represent at least 50% of the population, contuing to fight fair against an opponent who doesn’t. Eventually the gloves come off on the other side.
Maybe fear and arrogance are why Biden is in such a hurry to cancel the 2nd Amendment. Maybe it’s also why when Kathy Griffin held up a realistic severed Trump head nothing happened, whereas when an angry old invalid said he’d like to shoot Biden the FBI showed up and aerated him at his home. No trial, just a gangland hit.
