Catechism

These things are most certainly true:

1. Accepting what mainstream media say uncritically is foolhardy.

2. Voting for any proferred candidate in a national election is probably worse than “writing in” Mickey Mouse, although they can and probably will switch your vote electronically to whomever they have selected in advance.

3. Even if you could vote for a worthy candidate, the existing system is so corrupt that any decent person who was elected would be swiftly co-opted, marginalized or destroyed.

4. The American Republic was designed to frustrate the concentration of power and limit the capacity of ruthless people to manipulate the mob for their own ends. It may have been somewhat successful at this but is now utterly failing to govern in an even handed way.

5. There are so many people and organizations on the public payroll that government is now mainly robbing taxpayers to pay sinecures, including defense contractors and other businesses essential to The Blob. Elections have little effect on this. The Blob just gets bigger.

6. Administrative law, which increasingly governs everything citizens are permitted to do or refrain from doing, has obviated The Constitution, which is window dressing except when it serves the interests of the powerful.

7. The courts and law have been weaponized as political hacks. The legal system increasingly exists to punish the weak on behalf of the strong.

8. Since it’s unrealistic to assume the government is accountable to the people,  it is psychotic to hold the people responsible and punish them for the actions of their rulers.

It’s time to pull the plug.
