QAnon; The Oathkeepers; January 6th, 2021; And The Idiocracy

Probably the biggest elevator for Rachel Maddow as a fear porn talking head was QAnon, the denizen of online chat who allegedly was behind the January 6th “insurrection”, and represented all the evil right-wing “fascist” white supremacists in America and the world who deserved to be disenfranchised, have their rights violated, and be personally and professionally destroyed by the “good guys”. The “good guys” are here taken to comprise the “left” side of the Uniparty and the MICIMATT version of the establishment, which includes big tech and mainstream media. Now Maddow says she fears that if elected, Donald Trump will treat her the way those who protested the 2020 election were and are still being treated. Boo hoo.

This writer doesn’t know who QAnon was, or who they were as the case may be. However, I followed events leading up to and on that day in real time, as one who kept tabs on The Oath Keepers and various “alt right” commentators.

If QAnon committed a sin, it was naivete. Among the shared ideas of Q and the protesters:

1. Donald Trump is, if not the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ, his business partner; and had been deputized by God to lead the righteous out of the darkness covering the land at the hands of nihilistic freedom haters and criminals.

2. The Republic is still operational, despite aggressive attempts by the radical left to subvert it. The servants of the people who swore oaths to protect The Constitution are mostly sympathetic or might be persuaded by actual peaceful protest, in contrast to the astroturfed BLM riots the prior summer.

3. While the election of Joe Biden was utterly fraudulent, it might have been possible to convince Mike Pence and others to hold off on certifying the election until a proper investigation could be conducted by professional law enforcement, who still comprise the bulk of organizations such as the FBI. These could be trusted to do their jobs, because belief in due process and rule of law was sacrosanct to all good folks who wore badges or served in the military.

4. The Oath Keepers and other similar groups had not already been completely infiltrated by the FBI and possibly other agencies of The Blob, who don’t actually have zero respect for The Constitution or rights of citizens not on their team of technocrats, hustlers and useful idiots.

5. The authorites would be unlikely to use force against them because they too represent the thin blue line. There was every reason to believe that peaceful and unarmed assembly for protest would be respected by law enforcement.

I am not going to do a review of all the facts of the day, much of which I was able to watch in realtime via the cellphones of attendees, including the shooting and death of Ashli Babbitt. What I saw then was corroborated by security videos later released to Tucker Carlson, and reporting by Epoch Times and others. I can’t help it if you still think the official story is true, or that it justified the witch hunt and suspension of due process which ensued and is still going on.

My point here is simple: there was no insurrection, at least not on the part of the accused. Instead what we saw was the last gasp of the constitutional republic of The United States of America. It was never perfect, but it had promise. Now it’s over. People will have to decide what they will tolerate from an illegitimate government which utterly despises most of them, and which views the law as an opportunity for control by their corrupt selves and the “ideologically pure” who serve them.
